Four Star Family Restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids

I used to enjoy eating here. Not anymore a chubby red head is just so overbearing and frankly thinks she is the boss. I was there tonight u know who I am baby cakes. I will eat somewhere else.

The food is really pretty good here. The server was nice but not sociable. Did not recommend food items, and did not offer dessert. Customer service classes would benefit this business. 2 stars for food. 0 for service.

I was here yesterday. Food was good. I overheard a red headed fat waitress say I am not taking that weirdo probably doesn’t tip. I know she was talking about me. I don’t know why that was said but obviously doesn’t care about your restaurant sounds like she is here for the only making money. Sad.

Inexpensive and great service. Food was very good and generous serving sizes.

Friendly and efficient staff. They were very busy and still took care of our group of 8... with all our different requests...quickly and accurately. All meals were very good also!

Unbelievable, Fantastic! Real Homemade food! They bread their own Country Fried Steak, I couldn't believe how GREAT they are, food & service. We really lucked out stopping here to eat on our long trip!

Never going back, absolutely disgusting food. Could have stayed and opened a can of chef boyardee and saved $25. Definitely not a four star dining place.

Friendly service and was a great quick choice. I had an MPR burger that consisted of bacon, cheese curds, , onion rings, and cheese. Plus the standard LTO toppings. A nice bowl of chix dumpling soup. A steal at $6.99. Includes fries as well. I took half home!! I will get a different burger next time, so I can try them all.

I am always very adamant to leave a tip, however, I did not this time. My wife and I and our two daughters ordered breakfast during the evening and it was overall just horrible. The veggie omelet had no cheese, was burnt, and had no taste anyway, even if it did have cheese. Who uses canned mushrooms at a restaurant? The hashbrowns seemed like they were doused in butter and tasted like other food which means they don't clean the grill. The pancakes tasted like bagged store bought batter mixed with water. My recommendations would be to downsize your menu so you can focus on making good food. There is probably 150 things on the menu, which means they specialize at nothing. I don't want to tear into the restaurant, I will say the staff was friendly. But, this restaurant could very badly use an overhaul and a visit from the food network-Restaurant Impossible staff. I had to give it 1 star just to make a comment, but it doesn't deserve any stars.

3 stars for the atmosphere, older hometown restaurant...but BEST in town hashbrowns...tasty, generous servings of home cuisine. Had the chopped steak and shrimp, enough for two full meals and so good. Service was excellent and friendly.

Wonderful place, good food, nice folks. I am going to try to go back before leaving town. Thick ham and delicious hollandaise sauce on my benedict. Great pancake and chocolate milk.

It was a Sunday morning after a wedding, and I needed to get myself going. I was there with a group of 8, so a decent sized group. It was fairly busy, seeing that it was 10:30AM and breakfast time, so I expected a minor wait in between orders being taken and getting our food. Our server was attentive enough, she maybe could have checked on us once or twice more to see how everything was, but other than that, service was good.I had the 3 eggs, ham, potatoes and toast breakfast for $6. I added on the Swedish pancakes as well. The ham was a thick cut piece, potatoes ( or pretty much torn apart hashbrowns) were crisp and well cooked, and the eggs were to my liking. The Swedish pancakes were a little sweeter, almost like a crepe, but quick good by themselves without having to load on maple syrup. All in all, it was a good breakfast and was what I expected.

Haven't had a bad time here in over 5 years. Great staff and good food.

Food was awful!! Ordered a Reuben. Not sure what the meat was but it wasn't edible! Spaghetti was very watery and hardly any sauce. Just nasty!!!

Good home-cooked meal

They weren't busy when we arrived, but we stood waiting for a table for more than 5 minutes, even though someone from the kitchen saw us standing there. Our server was personable and did her job well. Hubby loved the chicken dumpling soup but found the burger to be eh. My salmon was a bit under done and lacked flavor. $1.00 extra for sweet potato fries, which is silly considering they're the same price in the grocery store. Probably won't go back.

We decided to try this restaurant since it was close to our hotel. We were surprised by the varied menu. Everyone enjoyed their choices. Our waitress was great. The next day we tried another restaurant, calling ahead because of the size of our group. We waited 20 minutes, seeing others seated before us. We called the 4 Seasons, and they set up a table for the 14 of us. We all enjoyed our time together, and the wonderful food!

The place serves big portions and for affordable pricing. super nice staff. Keep up the good work.

My husband was sick and I had a to go order. Professionalism all the way to the end. I love it here. Thank u for making it easy to get in and out and everything I ordered was there and John gave us a free piece of pie!

The last two times we ordered take out the orders were nowhere to be found. No apology or discount at all. The last time I was told that it was already picked up by someone else. Pitiful customer service.

Our first time at Four Star Family Restaurant. I had breakfast my better half had lunch. Service was friendly, quick and delicious at a great price.

--Frozen patty burgers and thin chicken strips--Probably should go somewhere else. Friendly employees but did not come refill drinks and not big on follow up. Food was made correctly at least so that is a plus, hence the three stars. Burgers had a frozen aftertaste and the chicken strips were flat and bland batter covering them. Salad was tasty, but can't mess up lettuce, tomato and crotons.

Always enjoy coming for the breakfast skillets. Great food and nice staff.
